Accommodation

Our own exclusive accommodation, right in the heart of the local trails.

Each of our UK mountain bike holiday destination pages will tell you where you’ll be sleeping on that trip, but all our exclusive WildBike HQs have 3 things in common – trail central, comfort, character – whether that’s bunkhouse, mountain lodge, RV or campsite!

Trail Central

You don’t want to waste valuable peddling time loading and unloading bikes from vehicles, so we’ve scoured accommodation options high and low to ensure we can start most of our rides straight out of the front door.

Comfort

We never use hostels or B&Bs, where it’s hard to make the place your own! Our guides can be relied on to create a warm, relaxed, chilled-out, fun vibe wherever we call home! And we know, for example, that all our bunkhouses have good mattresses, hot showers and comfy lounges.

Character

We like our places to have a bit of soul and pizzazz. So our Torridon base, for example, has a lawn running down to the Loch with vast views over the mountains, a massive Aga in the kitchen to gather round with a cuppa, and tons of bike-fettling space in the huge porch. Our Morzine base has an enormous deck with views and a hot-tub, all en-suite rooms, backs onto open fields and yet is just a short pedal or stroll to the best local bars.

There’s more …

It’s worth saying an extra word about our camping set-up used on some of our trips:

Our chill-out space is a huge, canvas, traditional bell-tent complete with cushions, carpeting and a woodburning stove – the perfect place for a post-ride crash-out with a brew and a cake, or later for beers and stories round the stove.

We have dedicated under-cover eating areas with plenty of seating, where our delicious breakfasts and barbecues are served.

And we know you need a great night’s sleep after a hearty day in the saddle! Your bed will be on a quality, thick camp mattress in a high spec mountain tent, guaranteed to stay stable and waterproof even if the weather does get biblical.

If you are sharing with a friend you will have loads of space in a 3 person tent, and if you are solo you will have a 2 person tent to yourself. Most customers like to bring their own sleeping bag (a 3 season bag would be ideal), or you can hire one from us for a small supplement.

And we choose campsites with the very best facilities with plenty of hot showers – one of them even has underfloor heating in the toilet block! We love this set-up, it’s the perfect place to stay!
