Welcome to this new trip for the 2024 season! We are unsure of the exact details yet, but suffice to say this trip will be the usual WildBike style of the best high mountain singletrack in the area. And as you might be aware, the area of Lochaber around Fort William and Kinlochleven is blessed with the best. We will definitely cover the Ciaran Path, Binnein Mor and The Grey Mares Trail, all the epic uplifted trails in the Nevis Range, as well as a more remote relaxed day on the stunning Ardnamurchan Peninsula.

We only run this trip in May when the Highland weather is at its most settled and the midges have not started to bite!

Your Mountain Lodge Accommodation

We are working to find the best accommodation in the area! We are likely to be based at Glen Nevis resort in the heart of the highest mountains.

Transport

Shuttles between trailheads will be taken care of by our multiple racks and trailers. Your pride and joy will be securely clamped in place with no danger of damage from other bikes, and as this is a fairly compact area, journeys will be no more than 45 minutes.

Is it for me?

The rides on this Fort William and Kinlochleven guided MTB holiday should be described as EPIC in anyone’s language. Most days will involve some hike-a-bike, though this is not extensive. Our longest day will be approximately 50km and involve 1500metres of up and down. There will be river crossings and a chance of severe weather in high, remote mountains, so you will need to be properly equipped.

The riding is rocky, rocky, rocky, in all forms – smooth and slick, loose scree, boulders, blocks……You will need tough tyres and ideally 140mm + of suspension.

In summary, if you are looking for real high mountain singletrack adventure in a stunning setting, this is the trip for you!

E-bike friendly?

No, sorry, this trip is not suitable for e-bikes.

Getting there

Due to the remoteness of Fort William from airports, most of our guests will choose to drive. Fort William is a scenic 2.5 hour drive north of Glasgow.

We are unable to offer a free airport shuttle service for this trip, but if you would like to fly please get in touch and we can arrange transfer from Inverness airport for approximately £50 each way. Please talk to us before booking flights so that we can coordinate this.
