Toughness Rating:
9 out of 10

At least 35,000m of descent in 10 days of big Enduro riding in the French and Italian Alps.

We’ve put this trip together to bring you the best of Alpe D’Huez, La Thuile in the Aosta Valley in Italy and Morzine/Les Gets/Chatel in the Portes du Soleil area. Rides will include the whole Megavalanche course descending 2600m in 30km, recently carved and superbly varied EWS stages in La Thuile and some big back-country singletrack descents into Chatel and Morzine. It is all epic, epic riding, with many rides descending 1000m in one hit, from rocky, open mountain technical starts out of the top lift stations to steep, rooty forested sections into the valleys.

Although there will be some pedalling at high altitude, on most days this will be minimal as most of the uphill will be lift assisted.

Your Alps Enduro Safari Accommodation

On this Alps mountain biking holiday we will be staying at smart, fully equipped and impeccably clean campsites at Allemont, La Thuile and Morzine, all just a few short pedal strokes from their lift stations. We provide quality tents which are made of waterproof, heat reflective blackout material for a long, comfortable night’s sleep, as well as quality mattresses. You will have a tent to yourself unless you want to share. We have plenty of shelter and seating for everybody in our specially converted racevan and gazebos. All you need is a sleeping bag and pillow! All in all, a perfect Enduro rider’s set-up!

Safari Transport

You and your bike will be transferred from Geneva airport and between our 3 destinations in either our specially converted MTB racevan or the WildBike estate car. Both have a fork mounted clamping rack system to convey your pride and joy in complete security and are both air-conditioned and seat belted for a total of 8 guests.

Is it for me?

This is a demanding trip on you and your bike! You will need to be a fit, adventurous and technically competent rider. The riding in places will be loose, rocky, rooty, very steep and/or exposed, although there will be few, if any, non-rollable drops. We recommend a bike with tough rims, at least 2.3” tyres, slack angles and 140+ forks.

As a guide, if you are comfortable with big days out in British mountains in technical terrain, or maybe you have raced a few big UK Enduros, or maybe you’ve done some riding in the Alps already, you will absolutely love the variety of this Alps guided MTB holiday!
