Our luxury camps - what to expect

*only applicable to our Exmoor trips, Singletrack Safari trips and Lakes Epic Enduro Lap using luxury camping accommodation*

WildBike wants you to have more than a mountain biking holiday.  Your off-bike experience will be unique.   We want you to truly relax when you are off the bike so we make every effort to create the perfect environments.

Relax

At our campsites on Exmoor and in The Lake District, our ‘common room’ is a 5 metre diameter old-fashioned, but very modern, bell tent.  It is lovingly built by our friends at Soul Pad and is a fantastic place to chill or to get out of the weather.  We have carpetted it and furnished it with a woodburning stove for those chillier evenings as well as piles of comfy seating for you to kick back and relax. You can even take in a movie or two!

Eat

Ah, where to begin….?  We know every mountain biker needs to be a voracious devourer of fine foods.
Fresh coffee and tea will be on the go as soon as you wake up and to accompany your breakfast bacon butty, juices and cereals.  Our proper homemade cakes will be waiting for you when you return from your ride and they’re none too shabby, so we’re told! WildBike gets out the bar-b on a Saturday night and on your other night(s) with us we will show you to the best local hostelries for food and refreshments.

We keep options flexible at lunchtime, preferring to use local cafes, tea shops and pubs.

Sleep

You need a great nights sleep after a hearty day in the saddle!

We can honestly rival the comfort of your lovely divan at home with our top quality, self-inflating, slim yet squidgy, camping mattresses.  Your night shelter will be a superbly specced 3 person mountain tent with loads of storage space and a night light.  This highly stable and entirely waterproof tent will usually be shared with one other guest and never with 2 others (unless you really want to!). Or you can have a tent to yourself for a small supplement. Most customers like to bring their own sleeping bag - a 3 season rated bag would be ideal. Or you can hire one from us for a small supplement.

What else?

We might put up the table football, or put up the goalposts, or show you the best swimming spots in crystal clear lakes and rivers. You can dock your i-pod in our Bose speakers and be dj bikerboy/grrrl for the night. Boom.
