Summary: 6 nights luxury lodge, 5 days guided riding, evening meals, breakfasts - £685
On WildBike's 'Toughness out of Ten' rating, it's an 8.5 (on average!)
Scotland's majestic mountain scenery is without doubt well worth the long trip north that many of us have to make. Very few places on earth match the drama and beauty of high mountains, sparkling lochs and white sandy beaches.....and mile upon mile of beautiful, grippy, flowing singletrack meandering through the landscapes. Torridon & Applecross have been given glowing attention by IMB magazine, by Singletrack magazine and was voted recently in MBR as the top natural mountain biking destination in the UK. Check out IMB's feature and be sure to watch the video of when they rode with us in May.
No other guiding company covers more Torridon miles on more days than WildBike - guaranteed. At least three of our routes are unique and we pioneer new expeditions into this awesome wilderness every year, as well as the established favourites of Peaty and Danny fame. We will be climbing over the stunning high mountain passes between Glen Torridon and Glen Carron, following the major grin-fest that is the swooping singletrack of Applecross and exploring remote trails to the white-beach fringed lochs behind the Torridon mountains. All the time with the backdrop of the jaw-dropping splendour of Ben Eighe, Liathach or Slioch.

Is it for me?
If remote, dramatic mountain landscapes are your thing, then yes! There is a real sense of adventure in our Torridon riding. Long climbs and long, long descents. Although there are some undeniably technical sections with steep tight turns and rocky drops, fitness is more important here than technical ability. Our leaders are also on hand to talk you through any short sections of trickiness! In summary, you'll need a sense of adventure and a good level of fitness for the long climbs but the riding is never very technical for too long.
This holiday runs twice in Spring 2017, from Sunday May 14th to Saturday May 20th and from Saturday May 20th to Friday May 26th. From many years experience of West Highland mountain weather, we know this tends to be the most settled and midge-free period of the year, often with unbroken blue skies. You could be unlucky, of course........! See our full schedule at the bottom of this page.
Our Torridon base is a scenic 5 hour drive north of Glasgow or Edinburgh. As part of our commitment to green travel and for your comfort, we recommend either flying to Inverness or taking the Sleeper train to Inverness and then on to Strathcarron.
By arrangement we offer a free pick-up and drop-off service to and from Inverness airport, Inverness train station or Strathcarron train station. FlyBe, for example, operate daily services from Gatwick, Birmingham and Manchester and charge £30 for bicycle carriage.
After booking, your joining details will be sent to you 6 weeks before your holiday begins.
